Peace Talks
Communicate Constructively
I will use the communication methods I read about this week to practice effective, compassionate, and nonviolent communication with someone I interact with regularly: my roommate, my parents, my co-work, my partner, my classmates, or my children.
Co-Creating Living Peace
Becoming a Change Agent
Using the guidelines on page 113, I will construct a vision board of my own ideas about how I will act for change and then share it with my group.
Co-Creating Living Peace
Talk To My Friends and Colleagues
I will research the social or environmental issues in my community that matter to me and tell 20 friends and/or colleagues about what I learn.
It's all connected
LEARN ABOUT LOCAL ISSUES
I will find out what local sustainability issues are most urgent in my region, including both social and environmental justice concerns.
Co-Creating Living Peace
Connect With A Nonprofit
I will connect with a local nonprofit that works on peace and justice issues and find out how I can get involved or become a member.
Co-Creating Living Peace
Practice Gratitude For Earth
I will spend 60 minute(s) per day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and the nature surrounding me.
Responding to Systemic Violence
Support A Sharing Economy
I will create or support a sharing economy with family, friends, and neighbors.
Responding to Systemic Violence
Support Native Communities
I will use the resource links provided and spend 35 minutes learning about the native populations that lived in my area prior to colonization, and what I can do to support those that still exist.
Justice for the Whole Community
Pick Up Litter
I will pick up litter on my street and ask others to join me in taking care of our neighborhood.
It's all connected
PAY ATTENTION TO CURRENT EVENTS
I will watch or read the news each day this week with a specific focus on peace, justice, and/or sustainability issues and happenings.
Justice for the Whole Community
Meet My Local Farmers
I will visit my nearest farm to find out who produces my food, and will learn about the quality of life of those who produce my food in other regions of the world to make better choices when I shop.
Justice for the Whole Community
Learn More about Food Deserts
I will spend 240 minutes learning about food deserts and find out how I can advocate for healthy and fresh food in my region.
Peace Talks
Practice Listening
This week, I will practice intentionally listening to 5 people I disagree with or do not share common experience with.
Co-Creating Living Peace
Organize A Course
I will organize one of Ecochallenge.org's discussion courses, such as 'A Different Way', with family, friends, coworkers, or classmates.
Responding to Systemic Violence
Share My Actions
I will make my support for social and/or environmental justice visible with a lawn sign or bumper sticker, or by posting to my social media networks.
Responding to Systemic Violence
Support Pollution Reduction
I will spend (___) minutes learning about water and air quality issues in my area, how they are impacting human and environmental health, and how I can help.
Responding to Systemic Violence
Support Businesses Owned by People of Color
Racial inequity is both a sustainability and justice problem. I will support businesses owned by people of color in my community whenever I shop.
It's all connected
START A SYSTEMS JOURNAL
I will start a systems journal, capturing my thoughts, concerns and learning about peace, justice, and sustainability issues.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Super interesting information especially because this is what was complained about in the presidential debate. This is especially important to the health of Californians. -

JŌNNY MĪYĀGĪ 4/02/2021 1:36 PMPersonally, I have joined the "See Change Now" Slack channel after attending the virtual climate summit about a week ago where I pitched my ESG startups. This is exciting to myself as it is a community that is engaged in accelerating the progress of solutions and innovations.
To speak on the business aspect of late, has anybody seen the propellor less wind turbines that are being deployed across the globe? Anybody got research or information on the effectiveness of these? Leading company names? Very interesting energy generating method.
